Breakfast at Tokachi Sahoro Resort

To kickstart your day and maintain high energy levels, a satisfying meal is crucial. Indulge in a variety of breakfast options, including popular rice bowl dishes, freshly baked bread from the hotel, and delectable creations crafted with ingredients sourced from Hokkaido, Japan.

Fresh Hokkaido Milk

Savor the pure goodness of fresh milk hailing from Hokkaido. It is derived from cows that have roamed freely, feasting on nourishing grass in the expansive Tokachi Plain, resulting in milk of exceptional quality.

Nanatsuboshi Rice

Sahoro Resort takes pride in serving Nanatsuboshi rice, which is cultivated in Hokkaido. This delightful rice offers a perfect balance of seven essential characteristics: flavor, whiteness, luster, stickiness, fragrance, tenderness, and texture. It has consistently received the esteemed "Special A" rating in the rice taste ranking for three consecutive years (Japan Grain Inspection Association, fiscal year 2012). Nanatsuboshi rice is held in high regard and is on par with the renowned Koshihikari rice from Uonuma in Niigata Prefecture.

Shintoku Soba Experience at Tokachi Sahoro Resort

Soba (Buckwheat noodles) in Shintoku Town began cultivation concurrently with the town's development and is grown in fertile fields. The quality of the soba is enhanced by the cool night temperatures in the mountainou terrain. 1990, Shintoku soba received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award, the highest prize in the National Soba Production Excellent Management Awards. Subsequently, in 1999 and 2005, it was again awarded the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award, solidifying its reputation as Japan's premier soba-producing region. Soba is known for its balance of the five major nutrients (protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals), and it contains essential amino acids in a well-balanced manner compared to rice and wheat. Additionally, rutin, a functional component found in soba, has been gaining attention for its effects such as strengthening blood vessels, lowering blood pressure, antioxidative properties, and analgesic effects. However, it's important to note that while soba has deep roots in Japanese culinary culture, it is also an allergenic food that can cause severe allergic reactions, similar to peanuts.
